Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki had a huge row at the National Reality TV Awards, sparking speculation they have split.

The Love Island couple attended the event together on Wednesday evening at Porchester Hall in London, where Lochan was the recipient of the Best Male Personality award.

But the night ended with the pair unfollowing each other on Instagram and Whitney deleting a number of posts featuring herself and Lochan.

Their heated argument comes a year after they narrowly missed out on winning last summer's Love Island to Jess Harding and Sammy Root, who split shortly after the ITV2 series ended.

And following Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan's win this week, after they became the first black couple to scoop the £50,000 prize, Whitney said it was 'overdue' and a 'moment that needs to be celebrated.'

A source told MailOnline: 'Whitney and Lochan certainly didn't look happy at the National Reality TV Awards last night.

'It was surprising to see, considering they were among their co-stars and are usually very laidback but it was clear they were in the middle of a huge row.

'They have been arguing a lot lately, with their romance hanging by a thread.

'Whitney has deleted recent pictures of her and Lochan too, with some friends saying there is no way back for them to have a long-lasting relationship.'

The couple appeared on Love Island spin-off show Aftersun in June, with Lochan captioning an image of them together at the London TV studio: 'Nonstop smiling when I'm with you.'

He continued: 'I still can't believe we actually met on a show. It doesn't even feel like it. You make me want to be a better man and push me to new heights.'

They were fan favourites to win the series last year but Jess and Sammy claimed the title, which shocked audiences.

MailOnline has contacted Whitney and Lochan's representatives for comment.

Lochan recently declared his love for Whitney on Instagram, saying in June: 'You make me want to be a better man and push me to new heights'

Whitney has congratulated Love Island 2024 winners Mimii and Josh, who became the first black couple to win the show this week

Mimii and Josh made Love Island history after becoming the first black couple to win the series, which Whitney says was a triumphant moment for all previous female black contestants.

She explained: 'It's a moment that needs to be celebrated, it has gone down in history, as it rightfully should and I just feel like it's overdue.

'There has been so many black women that go on reality TV shows and they are not given their accolades.

'I think Samira was the first black girl to go on Love Island but now there has been Yewande, Kaz, Rachel, Lianne, Indiyah, Catherine, there's been me, there's been so many of us but we have never been given our flowers.

'So, it's not about Mimii winning, this is about her representing so many of us that have come before her as well as the black girls that are looking up to her.'
