Victoria Beckham is the latest unassuming target of a viral trend in which friends and family try to embarrass their loved ones.

The Spice Girls alum appeared in a video uploaded to her son Romeo’s Instagram account alongside her husband David, 49, daughter Harper,13, and one of Romeo’s friends.

Following the format of the widespread ‘just give me my money’ trend, Romeo, 21, kicked it off by shouting ‘give me my money’ followed by everyone applauding and cheering in response.

This continued down the line with football star David even adding in a little lunge towards the camera when it was his turn.

Finally, Victoria’s time to shine arrived, dressed casually in a grey hoodie and blue jeans, and she put her all into professing ‘give me my money’ to the camera and clapping loudly towards the rest of the group.

Only to be met with silence and blank stares.

The model and music artist quickly burst into laughter as she went red-faced and soon everyone was joining in to laugh at the absurd situation.

After being humiliated on camera, Romeo captioned the video: ‘Sorry mum’ with a couple of laughing emojis.

Meanwhile, David reposted the video to his 88 million followers with the same caption and tagged the two absent children, Cruz and Beckham, adding: ‘We got mum.’

Everyone was thoroughly amused in the comments and extended their sympathy to Posh for getting duped.

‘She even put a little flavor in it,’ @mxrkkanthxnyy wrote in the comments. ‘I feel so bad watching this,’ @abbyyalexander added.

‘Nooo poor Victoria… She even had the best tuning,’ @sheccidmonserrat said.

And others simply adored the fact that the family was close enough to get away with it and laugh about it after.

‘I love their family bond,’ @tionneb444 commented. ‘A healthy family structure is all about support *claps*,’ @aokileesimmons added.

‘You guys are so stinking cute,’ @aubrei echoed.

Of course, Victoria has form with slightly embarrassing moments going viral.

Lest we forget the Netflix documentary, Beckham, in which she claimed she was from a working-class background before David interjected to remind her that her dad used to pick her up from school in a Rolls-Royce.

Addressing the rapid spread of the clip on the internet, she tried to set the record straight in a Vogue interview.

‘You know, my dad had a Rolls-Royce and he also had a white van,’ she said.

‘I came from a working-class background and so my dad in the ’80s, he was an entrepreneur, he started his business with my mum at the kitchen table and he did very well, so he bought himself a Rolls-Royce.’

She added that she and her siblings used to ‘beg’ to be driven to school in the ‘white van’ to avoid getting teased.

Luckily, she is not the only one getting humbled on a regular basis.

A few months ago the former England captain himself was forced to keep a brave face when Sir Rod Stewart poked fun at his lack of knighthood in front of the King during a royal event.
