Katie Price attended court today for her bankruptcy hearing after being arrested at Heathrow Airport late last night.

The 46-year-old model had been in Turkey for a £10,000 facelift when a warrant was issued for her arrest on July 30.

She arrived wearing a body-hugging off-shoulder nude jumpsuit, with her face still incredibly swollen and wrapped in a bandage after surgery.

Price was told by a judge at the hearing that there would be ‘no ifs, no buts’ and she must attend a ‘public examination’ on August 27.

The judge said: ‘You have to attend that date, no ifs or buts, no going abroad, no holidays.’

The hearing got off to a wobbly start as the TV personality said she ‘can’t hear properly or see much’ before revealing she ‘hasn’t got legal representation.’

During the short hearing, Price revealed she has ‘tried to get legal advice but I’ve been charged £50,000 upfront’.

Price told the judge: ‘Obviously I pay 40% of what I earn during bankruptcy and they want me to pay tax and VAT – it doesn’t leave me with money to pay £50,000 upfront for legal representation.

‘I’m finding it difficult. I can’t get legal aid as I earn – I don’t know what to do.’

The judge told Price that she needed a solicitor which shouldn’t cost more than £500, adding: ‘This is a discreet application, it doesn’t take Einstein to do it.’

The star was at the Royal Courts of Justice in London in person but appeared in court via a video call from a nearby room.

She was asked to confirm she could attend the August date, with the judge referencing her recent trip to Turkey.

‘I’ll move my diary for it,’ Price replied, adding ‘This is obviously important’.

To begin the hearing the judge explained: ‘What I’m going to do is read the undertakings to you so as to enable you to be released from custody today.

‘These undertakings are undertakings to the court so if you break any of them you will be brought back into custody. This is a serious matter. Do you understand?’

Price confirmed she understood and asked if she could attend the August 27 date over zoom, explaining: ‘Am I able to do it via Zoom? Or in a side room? I don’t think you guys have seen my assessment. I find it difficult in court.’

After confirming she would be there for her public examination, the court was adjourned and Price was allowed to return home on bail.

The Mucky Mansion star was originally due to be in court last week but failed to turn up, resulting in Judge Catherine Burton issuing a warrant for her arrest.

At the time the judge said: ‘She has no real excuse in failing to attend today’s hearing. The reason for her absence today is irrelevant.’

The Insolvency and Companies Court Judge said the mum-of-five had received ‘very clear warnings’ that she must attend the hearing after it was pushed back.

Price previously stated she was ‘not running from matters’ but was in Turkey to film a documentary on corrective surgeries.

In an Instagram story, she said she was ‘fully aware of the severity of [her] current personal financial situation’ but ‘shocked’ at the response to her missing the hearing.

She had been in Istanbul with her boyfriend JJ Slater, son Harvey, and friends for nine days and looked downcast as she climbed into a police van on return to the UK.

Slater, 31, took her bright pink luggage to the car as Price spoke to the Metropolitan Police and was taken away from Terminal 5.

As the group travelled back, the Celebrity Big Brother housemate wrote: ‘I would just like to thank everyone that has been showing support and compassion to my situation this week and pending my arrest.

‘Despite what has been misreported I am now in route back from filming my documentary.

‘I was never just abroad being ignorant to what’s going on and I stand by the facts, which is that there has been miscommunications between a number of people here to do with my bankruptcy.

‘However now I am returning home from work and I am aware that I am about to be detained at the airport which is obviously what the courts feel is necessary.

‘I do hope of course for my son’s sake who is with me that they will allow me some dignity and protection.’

In May, the TV personality, who has been declared bankrupt twice, moved out of her £2million Mucky Mansion after reportedly being served an eviction notice.

She maintains that it was her choice to move out after reports of attempted burglary and an acid attack on her pink Range Rover.

Adding to the drama, bailiffs were seen at the sprawling property as she travelled to Belgium for her 17th boob job, as first reported by The Sun.

Price reportedly owes an unpaid tax bill of £761,994.05, which sparked this latest bankruptcy saga.
