Davide Sanclimenti has revealed that his home in Los Angeles has been burgled and he has lost items valued at more than $1 million.
The TV personality who starred in the ITV reality dating show Love Island in 2022 revealed to his 1.5 million Instagram followers that he was robbed.
The 29-year-old shared images of his empty walk-in wardrobe with a caption that revealed the theft took place within minutes.
‘I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has displayed their concern and DMing me and asking why I have been quiet over socials.
‘As you all know I’m living in LA atm. Our home got broken into and was robbed of nearly $1.22M worth of precious and personal belongings gone within six minutes.’
‘Just goes to show the saying is true, “the evil always target the pure hearted” but I’m trying to stay positive that the good people will always win in the end!’
The star then revealed that he would be moving following this ordeal, and suggested that he would continue to take a break from social media to ‘reset’.
‘I’m taking a few days to reset, change house and keep moving forward,’ he said on his Instagram story.
Before moving to the US, the star lived in London and in Manchester in the UK, but originally hails from Italy.
Davide won Love Island in 2022 with his girlfriend at the time, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
The couple moved in together just 11 months after they won the dating show, initially going from strength to strength, and even getting their own spin-off reality TV series on ITV2, Ekin-Su & Davide: Homecomings.
The couple announced their split in June 2023 but were back together by September that same year.
In January 2024, the couple announced they had split again. In their breakup announcements Ekin-Su posted: ‘Unfortunately, I have recently made the decision to end our relationship and to go our separate ways.’
Davide argued that it was mutual and added that his ex changed their agreed statement regarding their split.
‘Ekin and I, just after the ski holidays, decided to go different ways. It was a joint decision, but I was waiting to make it public to respect her time in the show.
‘I don’t know why she agreed the statement changed last minute,’ he said.
