Hundreds of thousands of Year 13 students received their results on Thursday, and among them were Amanda Holden's and Peter Jones' children.

The Class of 2024 was hailed as the smartest cohort in UK history and Amanda, 53, was thrilled with her daughter Lexi's results day.

Taking to her Instagram Story, Heart Breakfast presenter Amanda shared a photo of an emotional Lexi in front of a cake that read 'Lexi congratulations' and 'OMG I did it!'.

In a second snap, Amanda, who is on  holiday with Lexi in Corfu, wrote: 'Congratulations to our @lexi.hughes__ we couldn't be prouder. All the grades and 1st choice uni what a bl**dy relief.'

Meanwhile, on his Instagram feed, Peter, 58, shared photos of himself, his wife Tara, and their daughter Lula posing in a doorway.

Lexi Hughes, 18, was one of the students amid what may have been the smartest cohort in UK history

She was joined by Peter's daughter Lula Jones, one of the three daughters he shares with second wife Tara Capp (pictured with Peter and Tara)

In the caption, he wrote: 'Incredibly proud of you @lulajones_ on your amazing A-Levels results.

'Both @tara_capp and I are beyond proud of you, especially how hard you worked to achieve such amazing grades.

'Well done and congratulations, the world is waiting to see what you do next so here’s to you making your dreams reality. We love you so so much. Xxx #makeyoursreamsreality #proud # alevels.'

The Repair Shop's Jay Blades MBE, 54, also paid tribute to his child, taking to Twitter, formerly X, to praise his daughter.

He wrote: 'Good morning all. Please join me in Congratulating My Beautiful Daughter, on passing her 4 A-levels with Flying Colours.'

Also on X, Comedian Rob Deering, 52, wrote: 'M’daughter didn’t just do well in her A-levels; she smashed them into the sun. What a woman. We are as proud as can be.

Lexi's success comes after she battled a life-threatening illness while sitting her A-levels.

The student, who is signed to Storm Models, was admitted to hospital with life-threatening E. coli amid the latest outbreak.

Peter, who has children Annabel and William with his first wife Caroline Jones, bringing his total to five, spoke of his and Tara's immense pride of Lula

Lexi was on a ward for five days with her mother and her father Chris at her bedside.

While discussing the warning signs to look out for amid the latest outbreak, Amanda revealed to The Sun in July that her daughter Lexi had been suffering from bloating and stomach cramps.

She said: 'For about three weeks, Lexi had been complaining of bloating and stomach cramps. She was not happy at all and in quite a lot of pain with her tummy.

'It was around the time of revision and her A-levels, so I was just putting this down to exam stress.'

However, Amanda admitted after taking her daughter to her GP, who insisted on her doing some blood and stool samples, the results came back as a bacterial infection.

The star then revealed that while she was filming in Spain, she began to get calls from various government officials.

They were asking her to fill out several forms about where her daughter might have eaten and what kind of food they had stored in their home.

She also confessed that the antibiotics her daughter was given didn't seem to be working.

Results Day comes after Lexi, who is signed to Storm Models, was admitted to hospital with life-threatening E. coli amid the latest outbreak (pictured with mother Amanda in 2023)

Amanda claimed her doctor called her saying 'I don't want to alarm you' before telling her Lexi's bloods were 'through the roof' and she was in danger of 'contracting sepsis'.

The Britain's Got Talent judge recalled how terrified she was to hear the word 'sepsis'.

She revealed that Lexi's was the 113th case of E. coli in the country in just two weeks - and that the doctor had warned them that this was just the tip of the iceberg.

Lexi, thankfully, made a full recovery.
