Popstar Bebe Rexha has claimed she was ‘threatened’ by an employee of the Lufthansa airline group, while trying to board one of their flights.

The American singer, 34, shared multiple tearful videos to her Instagram Story on Saturday afternoon, claiming she was not let onto a flight after speaking Albanian to an airline worker she thought looked Albanian.

Sharing a video of herself crying with her 11.9million followers, the Grammy-nominated star had smudged mascara under her eyes as she said: ‘The supervisor on this flight of Lufthansa is threatening me.’

Bebe, who is of Albanian heritage, then appeared to be approached by an airline worker and told them: ‘Don’t threaten me again.’

The Say My Name singer wrote over the video: ‘I was threatened by Lufthansa because I thought the agent was Albanian. I spoke to him in Albanian, asking him where to get my ticket, and now he is stopping my flight.’

Posting another video of herself crying, the singer looked distraught as she sat in the airport. She told fans in the following slide she believed she was a victim of a ‘hate crime’.

‘I believe this to be a hate crime because I am Albanian,’ she wrote in a statement. ‘He would not let me take his name. He continued to mentally abuse me to make me feel like he was more powerful than he was.’

She added: ’Not one of the women at @Lufthansa stepped in or said something. He would not give me his name. But I just found out he works for ATSG a service company document control hired by Lufthansa.’

Bebe then reposted a story from a fan who pleaded with the airline to ‘investigate the male officer who threatened a woman’ for speaking Albanian.

The video was quickly reposted on X, resulting in many fans sharing their concern for the singer.

However others were skeptical about her claims with theDjole stating: ‘There must be something else in this story bc no one would ban you from the flight just for speaking a different language lol’.

The New York-born singer’s emotional videos come just one month after she explosively claimed she is ‘fed’ up with the music industry and could ‘bring down a BIG chuck’ of it with the information she has.

‘I could bring down a BIG chunk of this industry. I AM frustrated. I Have been UNDERMINED,’ Bebe wrote on X. ‘I’ve been so quiet for the longest time.’

‘I haven’t seen the signs even though people constantly are bringing them up and they have been SO OBVIOUS,’ the 34-year-old, who has worked with the likes of Dolly Parton, continued.

‘And when I have spoken up I’ve been silence [sic] and PUNISHED by this industry. Things must change or I’m telling ALL of my truths. The good the bad and the ugly,’ she vowed in the series of tweets.

She later said her comments came not from ‘anger’ but from ‘sadness’ and went on to thank fans for the ‘strength’ they give her.
