Molly-Mae Hague fans have been rocked after a resurfaced clip of an emotional moment with Tommy Fury.
The former Love Island stars, both 25, revealed last week that they have broken up after five years together, with fans left devastated by the news after seeing their romance develop over half a decade.
Now, user Emyeag on Reddit has shared a clip from their series in the villa when Tommy finally asked Molly-Mae if she would be his girlfriend.
‘So on a serious note, you know how much you mean to me. You know that you’re the only girl for me,’ he said in the emotional video. ‘I only want to be with you. So therefore, I was wondering if you wanted to be my girlfriend?’
Molly-Mae was overwhelmed and immediately said yes as they shared a hug and a kiss, but the sweet moment has now become bittersweet for fans.
The Reddit user sharing the clip wrote: ‘Was in the middle of a rewatch but now it’s so tainted everything tommy says feels like a lie but he’s always saying she’s the only girl for him so he basically is😭
‘I’m still so shocked about all this i really thought they’d stay together, watching makes me sickkkk. (sic)’
Another fan, Tacobelle_90, added: ‘It’s wild how Tommy seemed like such a wonderful guy on the show.
‘There were a couple minor red flag moments but compared to what we normally see on LI he seemed like a catch. Also remember how so many people hated Molly and thought Tommy deserved better?’
Others pointed out that people are now looking at the video with the benefit of hindsight, and that it seemed ‘very genuine at the time’.
‘I don’t really understand why you’d feel that way. They fell in love and what we see here is likely very genuine at the time,’ pointed out SlayBay1.
And Livinvixen added: ‘I do think Tommy genuinely liked Molly but he’s not ready to settle down. Tommy likes to party and drink and she doesn’t. They have completely different lifestyles and values.’
The pair got engaged in July 2023, after meeting in 2019 on the ITV dating programme, and share one-year-old daughter Bambi together.
While they have both remained quiet on social media, reports over their relationship ending have emerged, including claims Tommy ‘cheated multiple times’ – which his rep has denied.
Sources have now claimed their split was a ‘long time coming’ after Molly-Mae reportedly grew tired of Tommy’s ‘gallivanting around the world while she was looking after their child’.
In recent months, the former boxer has been in Dubai and across Europe, while Molly-Mae had spoken about ‘solo parenting’ in recent vlogs.
An insider added to The Mirror: ‘Problems had been growing for a while. Increasingly, it seemed like they were living two very different lifestyles.’
A spokesperson for Tommy told Metro.co.uk: ‘Tommy is horrified by the false allegations of cheating being circulated by the media and he’s consulting his lawyers.’

The former couple have yet to further address their split, with Molly-Mae announcing last week: ‘Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this.
‘After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way. I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end.
‘I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority.
‘I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years. You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it’s right to share this with you all.
‘Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time, I’ll be back when it feels right. Molly-Mae x.’
Tommy added on his Instagram story: ‘I am heartbroken to share that Molly and I have decided to end our relationship.
‘The past five years have led to us having our beautiful baby girl, Bambi and I will be forever thankful to Molly for making me a dad.e Bambi is our priority.
