Elsewhere, Phil Foden was supported by his glamorous wife Rebecca Cooke and their five-year-old son, Ronnie.

Phil was voted the men's player of the year in English soccer for last season at the awards show, with Khadija Shaw receiving the women's accolade.

Foden was instrumental in City winning a fourth consecutive Premier League title, scoring 19 times and providing eight assists, and his achievements have now been recognised by his peers.

'To be recognised this way by your fellow professionals means everything and I would like to thank everyone who voted for me,' he said, according to mancity.com.

'I also want to pay special thanks to Pep (Guardiola), the City coaches and all my team-mates as they help me to try and get better every single day.

'Last season was another very special one for everyone at the club but now all our focus is concentrated on trying to achieve more success this term.'

Jamaican forward Shaw was the top scorer in the Women's Super League with 21 goals as City were edged out for the title on goal difference by Chelsea.

'I am both happy and proud to have received this award - to be recognised in such a way by my peers is a very special honour,' said the 27-year-old.

Chelsea attacking midfielder Cole Palmer was chosen as the men's PFA young player of the year, with Manchester United midfielder Grace Clinton winning the women's prize after her performances on loan at Tottenham last season.

Palmer was second only to City's Erling Haaland in the Premier League scoring charts with 22 goals and also laid on more than any other Chelsea player - 11.

Manchester City footballer Kyle, 34, was exposed earlier this year for fathering a second child with influencer Lauryn while married to Annie.

Annie booted him out of their £4million family mansion in Cheshire - leaving Kyle to take out a six month lease on accommodation.

But the lease has since run out and the sportsman has been forced to move into an apartment owned by his Premier League club, according to The Sun.

A source told MailOnline that Kyle is living between the apartment and his family home as he and Annie continue to work on their relationship.

The source said: 'Kyle is between homes at the moment as he only leased an apartment for six months when he and Annie separated in January.

'As the relationship is still being worked on he has taken the decision to split his time between both places, so as to be close to work and training whilst maintaining a relationship with his family.

'Annie, Kyle and the boys spent a fun summer together which helped them work through their troubles and kept things as normal as possible for their four boys. Kyle treated Annie to a gorgeous beach BBQ on her birthday and those special moments mean everything to them all.

'They continue to work on what their future looks like as a couple with their children at the forefront of their mind.'

The Sun's source said Kyle had 'nowhere else to go' so was forced to move into the club's apartments. They said he thought Annie would allow him to move back in.

It emerged earlier this year that Kyle had secretly fathered two children with the influencer, son Kairo, four, and daughter Kinara, 12 months.
