Noel Gallagher tried to slide away from Dave Grohl when the pair bumped into each other at Glastonbury, refusing to make small talk.
Oasis is back in business and fans are thrilled – none more so than Foo Fighter’s icon Dave, who has been relentlessly campaigning to reunite the brothers for years.
Dave, who recently took shots at Taylor Swift, has been incredibly vocal about his wishes for the Wonderwall hitmakers to reconcile.
In fact he was so determined to make amends between the feuding Gallagher brothers that he accidentally stumbled into one their bad books.
Despite fanning flames himself months before, Noel dodged Dave at Worthy Farm, claiming it was due to the 55-year-old drummer’s Oasis masterplan (sorry).
Only two months later, he acquiesced and announced the highly anticipated world tour with Liam.
‘I did actually bump into Dave [Grohl],’ the 57-year-old guitarist shared while speaking on Matt Morgan’s podcast after the 2024 festival.
‘He was about three feet away from me when I was watching LCD Soundsystem and he was staying in the same hotel I was staying in.’
Despite the former Nirvana drummer’s constant presence at Glastonbury, Noel made a point not to chat.
‘I would just like him to wind his f**king neck in about Oasis,’ he continued. ‘I wouldn’t talk to him. I haven’t got time for that f**king mob any more.’
Dave has previously called the Don’t Look Back in Anger icons ‘assholes’ for not setting aside their huge feud and reforming the band.

At every opportunity since, he has pushed for them to reunite and even started a petition which only served to wind up Noel even more.
Oasis split in 2009 after 18 years and numerous hits, citing Noel and Liam’s personal conflicts and inability to work together.
The brotherly spat has only grown over the years, with plenty of reunions teased – they previously booked Wembley Arena before negotiations fell through.
When asked by Mojo about the possibility of an anniversary tour for the 1994 album, Liam said that Noel wasn’t up for it.
‘I did call him. Well, my people called Noel’s management team,’ he claimed. ‘We put an offer on the table for an Oasis thing – because we got offered it – and he said no. It was a big tour, a lot of money.
‘He turned it down. I get it, he’s got a divorce going down. I’ll do the Definitely Maybe thing and have a nice time without him.’
Responding to the tour announcement, Noel told SPIN Magazine: ‘If Liam wants to do the show, great. He’s got to make a living and all of that.
‘Keep the flame alive. It’s not something I particularly would be able to put my heart and soul into.’
Little did the brothers know, they would bury the hatchet and announce a stadium tour for summer 2025 with original bandmember Bonhead joining.
The world tour includes dates in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin.
Oasis commented: ‘The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.’
Also on the podcast, Noel shared how ‘woke’ he finds Glastonbury now with anti-war protests and flag waving.
He called it ‘virtue-signalling’ and asked ‘What are all the kids in a field at Glastonbury going to do about it?’
‘I don’t like it in music – little f***ing idiots waving flags around and making political statements and bands taking the stage and saying, “Hey guys, isn’t war terrible, yeah? Let’s all boo war. F**k the Tories man,” and all that.
‘It’s like, look – play your f***ing tunes and get off.’
