Love Is Blind UK star reveals groom invited his ex-girlfriend to wedding

A Love Is Blind UK star has revealed her husband-to-be invited his ex-girlfriend to their wedding.

The Netflix series has taken the nation by storm, but fan-favourites Steven and Sabrina shocked us all when they revealed they’d split months after saying ‘I do’.

During an explosive reunion episode, the former couple – who were the first to get engaged after leaving the pods on the series – emotionally admitted things hadn’t worked out, clashing over their reasons why.

‘I thought I was embracing a partnership with who I thought was my person. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, and within days of us getting married, the truth all started to unravel,’ Sabrina later recalled to Metro.co.uk.

Meanwhile, Steven said things quickly went wrong when they lost their ‘sparkle’, as he shared: ‘We were both unhappy, and logistically it was very, very difficult as well, and it just kind of came to an end sadly.’

However, after a dramatic end to their relationship, secrets from filming have now emerged, including details about their wedding day.

In an interview with IGV Presents, Sabrina shocked fellow contestants Catherine, Demi and Maria by saying: ‘Steven brought his ex-girlfriend to our wedding.’

‘I didn’t get to speak to her,’ she added, with Sabrina saying she then ‘introduced herself’ to the guest.

The stars had been talking about ‘red flags’ in relationships when the comment was made, with Catherine telling Sabrina she was ‘so brave’ as Maria said: ‘Get out.’

Fans are just as shocked, with @Cherryteee saying: ‘WTF???’

‘Yoooooooo. Unhinged behavior,’ @vitamin_ashley commented.

‘It’s getting worse and worse,’ @Iam_MandiGumede wrote, while several others just said: ‘WHAT.’

In the same interview, when asked the same question about staying in touch with exes, Steven said: ‘Some of my best female friends, I’ve had a relationship with, and just because we didn’t work out on a romantic level doesn’t mean we can’t be friends.’

During his time in the pods, Steven had spoken about one ex to Sabrina, saying that his former long-term partner found a tumour and was left fighting for her life, before ending their relationship to focus on herself.

It hasn’t been confirmed if this was the same ex invited to their wedding.

Steven previously called their wedding ‘the best day of my life’, while they both recalled how emotional it was to watch themselves back falling in love.

She also voiced her feelings that the person he presented on camera isn’t who he is, alleging: ‘I was in a situation where I was married to someone who had led me down the aisle based on false pretences, but I was still trying to make it work as marriage is so important.’

During the reunion with hosts Matt and Emma Willis, Steven said he ‘let the side down’ after ‘underestimating’ the pressures of a long-distance relationship between London and Belfast.

Making a brutal summary of her ex-husband, Sabrina said: ‘I don’t understand why you made those vows. You are a man of many words, but…,’ before dealing the final blow: ‘…you are not a man of your word.’
