Eamonn Holmes seen for first time after taking big next step with rumoured girlfriend

Eamonn Holmes was spotted outside a swanky London restaurant after claims his relationship with Katie Alexander has moved up a notch.

The GB News presenter, 64, was catching up with friends at Langan’s Brasserie days after he reportedly whisked his rumoured girlfriend, 42, on a week-long holiday to Belfast.

Eamonn wore a smart navy blue suit complimented by a yellow paisley tie as he dined at the upmarket Mayfair eateries this afternoon.

The former This Morning presenter, who is recovering from back surgery, was seen outside the high-end establishment using a walker and supported by a friend as he got into a nearby car.

Eamonn’s rumoured trip to his hometown with Katie comes after he and his ex-wife Ruth Langsford, 64, announced their plans to divorce after a 14-year marriage.

It’s claimed the broadcaster grew close to relationship counsellor Katie, who he reportedly first met on social media in 2015, after his split from the Loose Women panellist.

Eamonn and Katie are now said to be deciding when to make their relationship public after it blossomed to the ‘next level’, according to the MailOnline.  It’s been said they’ve been offered ‘big money’ for their first official picture.

A source previously told the publication: ‘Katie and Eamonn are definitely in it for the long haul. She says she loves him and he loves her.’

Earlier this month, it was claimed Eamonn sent Ruth a reassuring message to protect her feelings after false rumours he was engaged to Katie which were sparked when she was seen wearing a ring.

A source told MailOnline: ‘There are other people in this and I know Eamonn had to message Ruth to say there was nothing in the engagement speculation.’

Eamonn is currently reportedly living in a London flat, while Ruth is still residing in their once-shared home in Surrey.

It’s claimed she recently issued him with a warning to pick up any remaining belongings before she takes action as she doesn’t want ‘constant reminders.’

‘Ruth doesn’t want him to feel like he can pop back and forth when he likes to grab bits,’ a source added.

They continued to Bella magazine: ‘She wants a clean slate and has even told friends she might change the locks.’

Neither party has confirmed the reason for their separation but sources claimed to The Sun that their work commitments ‘took them in different directions’.

Eamonn publicly addressed the split when he returned to GB News in May saying: ‘Your support for both of us is very much appreciated.’

Ruth, meanwhile, has not publicly spoken about Eamonn.

As well as navigating a divorce, Eamonn has been dealing with health problems after suffering chronic back pain ever since he slipped three discs in 2021.

He underwent spinal surgery the following year, which left him off air for almost four months during his recovery, but he later suffered a major setback when he fell down the stairs, revealing he ‘smashed’ his shoulder.

To manage pain, the TV broadcaster has been trying brand-new therapies including an ‘anti-gravity’ treadmill device which is helping him walk by assisting him with a ‘big balloon’ designed to hold his weight.

Ruth and Eamonn married in 2010 and share a son called Jack, who was born in 2002.

Their wedding was attended by TV presenters Gloria Hunniford and Jeremy Kyle, EastEnders actress Zoe Lucker and former champion boxer Barry McGuigan, and came 13 years after they began dating.

Northern Irish broadcaster Eamonn also has three children, Declan, Rebecca and Niall, from his first marriage.
