Chanelle Hayes has revealed she changed her bridal dress just weeks before her wedding after another star wore the same gown.

The former Big Brother star, 36, married Dan Bingham in an intimate wedding ceremony at The Northorpe Barn in Yorkshire in July, two years after their engagement.

But Chanelle didn't actually pick the dress up until the day before the wedding after deciding to alter her gown at the last minute.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the reality star showed off how she added off-the-shoulder tulle sleeves to change it, after noticing another star had worn the identical dress to their wedding.

However, fans were left wondering who the person Chanelle was referring to was as they didn't recognise the original dress at all.

They wrote: 'Anyone just want to know who the other lady was?!?' and 'Wonder who wore the original dress'.

Comparing snaps of the stunning original beaded dress with bodice and spaghetti straps, with the altered version, Chanelle wrote: 'So I never told anybody this outside of my family and bridesmaids.

'My wedding dress had to be emergency changed weeks before my wedding because another lady in the public eye wore the identical dress to me for her special day.

'I did not want the “who wore it best?” type polls and nonsense because each of us had our perfect days and that’s not fair.

'The dress was altered from Version A: spaghetti straps with no belt to Version B: off the shoulder tulle sleeves with a belt at the bottom of the corset.

'Personally I think the altered Version B was more suited to me and I’m so glad fate intervened and made me have these alterations made. Now I open the floor to you guys… which version do you prefer for me??'

While Chanelle didn't want a 'who wore it best' poll, she created a poll of which dress is best on her Instagram, with fans telling her they loved the changes she made.

Nicola McClean wrote: 'Much prefer the alterations you made, absolutely stunning x' and 'Oh my, those alterations were meant to be, because the dress and you look absolutely stunning!'

'You look so happy and stunning'.

Chanelle previously revealed how the dress also had to be taken in after she lost even more weight after a flare-up with Myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME).

Myalgic encephalomyelitis, also called chronic fatigue syndrome or ME/CFS, is a condition that causes extreme tiredness and a range of other symptoms

The Big Brother star went under the knife for a gastric sleeve operation in 2020, which saw her drop from a size 18 to a size 10 and lose 9 stone.

'We got married on Friday (June 28) and I wasn’t able to pick it up until after 4pm on Thursday. It was horrific – I just kept thinking, ‘It’s okay, Dan said he’d marry me in a bin bag!’ I did feel amazing on my wedding day but I didn’t anticipate being that thin,' she told OK! Magazine.

'It’s covered in sparkles and pearls, and I never thought I’d like that. I thought I’d have something simple, but ended up going for the complete opposite.

'I only visited one shop – Love and Cherish Bridal Boutique in Ossett – and I think it was the fifth dress I tried on.

;I went shopping with my mum and a couple of my bridesmaids and, as soon as I put it on, we all thought, ‘This is the one.” I also didn’t think I would want a veil, but changed my mind on that, too.'

Chanelle announced her engagement to Dan in May 2022.

The former BB housemate was reportedly 'over the moon' and said 'yes straight away' with a source telling OK! magazine: 'She's been dreaming of this for such a long time.

'Chanelle has really been through it when it comes to relationships and this time it really feels like she's found The One.'

'She's already looking into wedding plans and can't wait to finally get married – she's been dreaming of this for such a long time.'

The TV personality shares her son Blakely, 11, with her ex-partner Matthew Bates, who she was in a relationship with between 2009 and 2010.

She also has Frankie, four, with Edward Oates, who she was with on-and-off from 2016 to 2017.
