Greg captioned the post: 'The kids go back to school this week. What an amazing summer we’ve had. Enjoy every moment, it goes so fast'.

And it seems the holidays aren't quite over yet for Greg as he also took to his Instagram Story as he jets off on a Marella Cruise.

Boarding the boat with his friend Andy, the pair were seen popping the champagne before staring out into the sunset together in a cheeky snap.

Earlier this summer Greg also relaxed on an idyllic French holiday with his fiancee Susie after overcoming some recent health woes.

The track and field star recently explained that he had experienced 'horrendously bad' food poisoning during the Paris Olympics which left him 'violently projectile vomiting'.

The retired athlete has been plagued by bad luck since appearing on ITV's Dancing On Ice and had to be operated on after tearing his stomach open while skating before being later diagnosed with whooping cough.

But after recovering, Greg enjoyed a well-deserved holiday with his family as he shared an album of snaps with his  200,000 followers.

He posted a loved-up snap with Susie, planting a kiss on her head as she beamed at the camera while the couple posed on the top of a mountain.

In another photo, he showed off some of his family members halfway through their hike in the sunshine before sharing another snap of his son Milo, nine, swinging form a climbing frame in a park.

He finished off the adorable Instagram post with a photo of Susie enjoying a cold beer in the shade.

He captioned his post: 'Hike day yesterday! A nice little uphill 4k from Le Bettex in the sunshine and the reward of insane views, a park and restaurant at the top'.

Greg was left bed ridden after filming a podcast episode at the start of August as he told his followers: 'Hello everyone. Thought I'd give you a little update. I've just recorded the first pod with Sonya, really good fun.

'But I got food poisoning last night. I have been in a horrendously bad way and I haven't felt this unwell in a long time.

'I've been puking, like violently projectile vomiting, not to get really in depth with everybody.

'Day one in Paris has been me laying on my bed, getting up recording the first show, and I'm now back in bed before we record another show in two hours time. God food poisoning is horrendous.'
