Transgender activist Jazz Jennings has been a voice for her community since she was a child. But now, she's all grown up. The TLC star took to Instagram Wednesday, September 4, to celebrate a big milestone.
In a carousel of photos, Jennings, 23, carries a sign reading "Last first day," indicating that this is her first day of her senior year of college. Jennings currently attends Harvard University, and is set to graduate in the summer of 2025. She was accepted to the university in 2019, and the application process was the subject of her show, I Am Jazz. Jennings later decided to defer her enrollment, and later enrolled in 2022.
Since enrolling, Jennings has dialed back her online presence, as well as her appearances in the media. The most recent episode of I Am Jazz aired in 2023. In an interview with Harvard's student publication, Harvard Crimson, Jennings revealed she considered taking the influencer route while in school, but ultimately opted to focus on herself.
"I thought about sharing more about my experience at Harvard and being a Harvard influencer," Jennings said, later sharing, "I can't always take care of the world or put myself out there as much."
Elsewhere in the interview, Jennings said she is unsure what she wants to do after she graduates. When asked if she would make a return to television, she simply replied "Maybe, maybe not. We'll see where life takes me."
Last month, Jennings celebrated another milestone. In another Instagram post, she shared an update on her health and wellness journey, noting that she had lost 100 pounds.
