Pete Wicks has opened up about his 'failed' love life, sharing fears he 'may die alone' because he 'isn't ready for a relationship'.

The TOWIE alum and contestant on the 2024 Strictly series, 36, said he does hope to get married and have kids, but isn't ready just yet.

Pete admitted he needs to 'full understand himself' before committing to a serious relationship and settling down.

Speaking to The Times magazine, he said: 'I'm nearly 36. I want to get married and have kids. I've been blessed with so many opportunities, but what's the point if I can't share them with anyone?

'Right now, I'm not ready to wholeheartedly commit to a romantic relationship because I don't fully understand myself yet.'

Pete's previous girlfriends include Megan McKenna, Shelby Tribble and Chloe Sims and recently rumoured to be dating Maura Higgins.

Maura and Pete were spotted snogging at Broadwick Soho Hotel last month as they enjoyed an intimate alfresco lunch.

The couple were first reported to be dating in October 2023 as they were seen looking rather cosy at the Pride Of Britain Awards.

In pictures obtained by The Sun, the celebrity duo could be seen passionately kissing.

Maura, who split from American stuntman boyfriend Bobby Holland Hanton earlier this year, wrapped her arms around Pete's neck and kissed him during a romantic luncheon together.

A source told the publication: 'Maura had been sitting on the terrace with friends for an hour before Pete arrived.

'After they’d sat there for a while Maura went in for a long kiss with Pete. It wasn’t the kind of kiss you’d give a friend, it was very passionate.

'Maura and Pete seemed to be really into each other and kept looking into each other’s eyes before kissing again a number of times. They were all over each other. They looked totally in love and weren’t trying to hide it from anyone.'

Looking into the future, Pete added: 'I would love to find a wife, but you know what? I may end up one of those men who dies alone.'

Pete is hoping Strictly Come Dancing - which kicks off next week - will make him 'let go' and 'enjoy himself'.

The reality star recently revealed his best friend Sam Thompson's girlfriend Zara McDermott pushed him to do Strictly - despite claims that she was abused on the BBC show.

During an appearance on ITV's Lorraine last week, he opened up about how the former Love Islander's 'love' for the programme was the driving force behind him deciding to sign up.

He admitted: 'Zara was the one that kind of pushed me to do this because she loves the show. I was quite honest about the fact I had never actually seen it.

'The first time I saw Strictly was the first live show last year when Zara was on and I just thought wow, this is amazing - but I never imagined myself doing it. Sequins, all that stuff, is not necessarily my style.'

He added: 'I am petrified. I'm like a Ferrari from the waist down and Volvo from the top half. I've got the hips but nothing else.'
