Infamous former film producer Harvey Weinstein had to be rushed from Rikers Island Prison to Bellevue hospital after a cardiac event.

Weinstein's rep Juda Engelmayer told TMZ that the 72-year-old, whose New York sex offense conviction was overturned in April 2024, was "not doing great."

Engelmayer also told the outlet that Weinstein was undergoing "major surgery," but still planned to appear in court on Thursday, September 12, unless his health prevented it. Weinstein has been accused of more than 80 counts of sexual assault.

In April, the producer's attorney Arthur Aidala told TMZ that Weinstein's health was a "train wreck."
