The two twins who played baby Emma in Friends have given hope to a popular fan theory decades after the show first aired.

Cali and Noelle Sheldon, both 22, took it in turns playing Rachel and Ross’ baby girl in the iconic sitcom, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this weekend and is still beloved by fans around the world.

Ever since Rachel got off the plane and the show ended in 2004, fans have been wondering whether or not Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer’s characters managed to stand the test of time as a couple.

As far as the Sheldon sisters are concerned, the couple are still going strong after all these years.

‘They’re definitely still together in my opinion,’ said Cali during a Zoom interview aired on Friday’s episode of Good Morning Britain, while Noelle agreed: ‘Yeah, for sure!’

Meanwhile, Cali predicted that Emma has grown up to share qualities with both her parents, taking Rachel’s fashion sense and Ross’ love for all things ‘nerdy’.

‘Emma is definitely the perfect mix of both of her parents,’ she said. ‘[She] obviously takes after her mom, I’m sure she’s raided Rachel’s closet.

‘And also, definitely got a bit of a nerdy side. I personally do love dinosaurs [laughs] I’m a big T-Rex fan.’

Despite being babies on the show – with twins needed to play the role as part of acting rules around youngsters on sets – the two sisters are delighted to have been part of something special, and even told GMB they’d like to move into the TV world behind the scenes.

‘It’s really cool to be part of a show that’s older than we are,’ Noelle said. ‘Friends has been part of pop culture and television history since we were babies. I’m really grateful.’

Meanwhile, Jennifer herself previously supported the idea that Ross and Rachel’s romance endured, and she even predicted that Emma would have siblings of her own.

‘They’re absolutely, 100 percent together.’ she told The Hollywood Reporter in 2018. ‘They have more kids!’

And while co-creator Marta Kauffman predicted ‘Emma would be in the therapy,’ she told the outlet: ‘I think they would still be together.’
