Vanna White tends to keep her personal life out of the spotlight — but she couldn't help but make a rare mention of her boyfriend, John Donaldson, on a recent episode of Wheel of Fortune.

In a clip shared on the fan-favorite game show's official Instagram account on Thursday, September 19, new host Ryan Seacrest and White, 67, concluded the show with the same kind of closing banter the famous letter-turner and longtime host Pat Sajak would engage in.

"Earlier during the break, I called Vanna by her nickname, 'V Dubs.' 'Come on, V Dubs, we gotta go,'" Seacrest — who made his hosting debut earlier this month following Sajak's retirement — told the audience.

Turning to White, the 49-year-old American Idol host asked: "And that's not the first time [someone's called you that], right?"

"No, that's what my boyfriend calls me — V Dubs!" she responded. "How about you?"

"No, he doesn't call me V Dubs," Seacrest quipped, as White threw her head back and laughed.

While the point of the clip was to ask Wheel viewers to help choose a good nickname for Seacrest, it was White's rare mention of her boyfriend on the show that made headlines.

White, who met Donaldson in 2012 after a mutual friend brought him to a barbecue, called her longtime partner "the male version of me" in a 2023 interview with People.

"We really are very similar. We get along so well. He's easy," she gushed about her 12-year-romance with Donaldson. "He's easy, and he lets me be me, and I let him be him."

White — who shares son Nikko, 30, and daughter Gigi, 27, with ex-husband George Santo Pietro — has no plans to walk down the aisle again, choosing, happily, to be in a partnership with Donaldson without the need to exchange any official vows (or rings).

"I mean, we've been together 12 years, and I feel like we are married," she told People. "Do we have to get married? No, because we feel comfortable in our relationship. You know what I mean? I know that he's The One. He knows I'm The One."
