Natalie Suleman, widely known as Octomom, shocked the world 15 years ago when she gave birth to the first surviving set of octuplets. Now she's letting fans know that she has a new role – Grandma.

Suleman announced the exciting news that one of her sons has welcomed a child in an Instagram post on Sunday, September 23. The photo featured a pink fuzzy blanket as well as a small infant's foot.

"Thank you my son and my lovely daughter-in-law for giving us this beautiful gift!" Suleman, 49, shared. "We are so blessed that she is a new addition to our family! Baby girl, you are so very loved, and we can't wait to watch you grow!! 8/30/24." The mom of 14 did not disclose further details such as the baby's name or which son welcomed her.

Fans were quick to leave their congratulatory message for Suleman in the comments of the post. "OMG can't believe you are a grandma now," said one, while another replied, "Congratulations! I hope you enjoy being a Grandma. ❤️😍." A third fan stated, "This girl's 13 uncles and aunts will never let her get bullied."

Some users skipped the "congrats" and went straight for questions. "Wait..how old is her oldest?????" one asked. Another quipped, "how many people here assumed Natalie had another kid?"

Suleman famously gave birth to her octuplets — Noah, Maliyah, Isaiah, Nariyah, Jonah, Makai, Josiah, and Jeremiah, who are all 15 — in 2009 after undergoing in vitro fertilization. This procedure involved implanting 12 embryos, resulting in the octuplets being delivered via C-section. In addition to the octuplets, she is also the mother of six other children: Elijah, 23, Amerah, 22, Joshua, 22, Aidan, 19, and twins Calyssa and Caleb, who are around 16 or 17 years old, though their exact birth date isn't known.

The father of Suleman's 14 children has not been publicly revealed, however, she previously told People that she paid for the donor's sperm. "Not too much, but just enough so he knew that there were boundaries there," she said to the outlet. "I wanted those boundaries to be really firm and know that this is a business arrangement."
