Sony has announced the three games coming to PlayStation Plus’s monthly selection this October.

PS Plus members get to enjoy a slice of AAA horror with EA’s Dead Space remake, while your other two options are wrestling title WWE 2K24 and visual novel Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!

The new games are available to all tiers of PS Plus subscriber: Essential, Extra and Premium.

Here’s what you can expect from each of the new titles.

When does October PS Plus Come Out?

The three games will be available to claim from October 1.

That is also when you’ll lose access to September’s games.

These are Harry Potter Quidditch Champions, MLB The Show 24, and Little Nightmares II.

PS Plus October monthly games

Dead Space is the most high-profile of October’s PS Plus trio. This is a 2023 remake of a survival horror title released in 2008.

You enter a space station that has been infested by necromorphs, nasty undead creatures that were once humans. It’s a creepy and atmospheric adventure, but an action-packed one, too. Prepare for jump scares, as Dead Space is full of them.

It’s worth a try to experience the Dead Space vibe, even if you think you’re too much of a scaredy cat to go the distance. The main campaign takes around 12 hours to complete, according to How Long to Beat.

Next up is a game on the other end of the game spectrum, Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!. This is a visual novel with anime-inspired visuals. Here’s a surprise: this is a psychological horror story, not the dating sim it appears to be on the surface.

Who could have predicted that? The game is also much less of a time sink than other classic visual novel titles. You can get to one of Doki Doki Literature Club Plus!’s endings in around four hours, where fan fave Stein’s Gate might take dozens of hours.

There are fewer surprises to WWE 2K24, our last PS Plus pick. This is the annual wrestling title from 2K games.

You probably already know whether or not you want to check this one out, but it certainly had a warm reception from wrestling fans. WWE 2K24 achieved a Metacritic score of 81 per cent, the best score this series has received in the better part of 20 years.
