John Ritter's son, Jason Ritter, posted a video on Tiktok in which he performs an impression of his father's character in Three's Company that is so good that it actually made some fans emotional.

The video, which was posted on Sunday, September 29, is the 44-year-old's response to a comment on the social media platform that asked, "Can you do the creep face your dad used to do chasing the girls around the apartment on 3's company.... That was always my favorite thing." In the clip, the actor responds, "Um, is it this one? The one that's like —" and goes on to impersonate Jack Tripper, the character his father played on Three's — adding, "Is it that weird one?"

The similarities are so evident that it has fans posting emotionally charged responses in the comments, like, "his death was the first celebrity death that rocked me. I grew up on Threes Company. You look so much like him. I smile anytime you come across my page ❤️." A second fan thanked the Gravity Falls star, saying, "😂 Thank you so much!! This made my day. I loved your dad and love you so much." Another added "So awesome you did this! You are so much like your dad, no doubt how proud he would be of you. Love you in everything I've seen you in. He's definitely smiling watching you. 💜💜💜"

The post has garnered over 24,000 comments from followers, and most have something kind to say about the the author's late father. A fan shared, "I was born and raised in LA, a daughter of Mexican immigrants. We only spoke Spanish at home. But I watched 3s Co. bc John Ritter transcended language. He brought joy to us as a family, even though we didn't fully understand the language." Jason responded saying, "I love this so much... thank you for sharing this with me!!"

Another TikTok user wrote, "omg I loved him so much I remember watching him with my mother she use to laugh so much until she cried 😁." One fan even admitted they were so emotional that they were brought to tears asking, "why am I crying! I started watching 3com as a kid because of my dad. it developed my sense of humor and helped me grieve when my dad died."

John passed away on September 11, 2003, after suddenly falling ill and experiencing nausea along with complications with his heart. According to Today, the Three's star was taken to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, the same hospital in which he was born, and treated by emergency staff for a heart attack, but was later diagnosed with an aortic dissection and was operated on shortly after. The California native did not survive the procedure, and was pronounced dead later that night at the age of 54.

His sons Jason, and Tyler Ritter, 39, are both successful actors in their own right and have starred in projects like Frozen 2 and Painkiller, respectively.
