Jason Kelce just shocked the internet by announcing an unexpected holiday collaboration with a true rock legend.

On Wednesday, October 2, Jason and his brother Travis Kelce's podcast, New Heights, posted a photo on X (formerly known as Twitter) of Jason, 36, alongside music icon Stevie Nicks, captioned, "The crossover we didn't know we needed. Coming soon to a Christmas album near you 👀🎄."

Fans are elated at the news that the former NFL player will be joining forces with 76-year-old Nicks (known for her involvement in Fleetwood Mac beginning in the 1970s as well as her current solo career) on a new holiday jam. "god, i hope no one heard the sound i just made in this office 😭😭😍😍," replied one excited fan, while another mused, "What??? I love this so much! Jason, you are on an EPIC run here! How cool is it to be on a Christmas album with the one and only Stevie Nicks?! 🙌🎄."

"Oh this nepo brother in law 😭😭," noted a third, who could only be referring to Jason's relationship with his brother's girlfriend, pop icon Taylor Swift. Another said, "This again is the Taylor Swift effect❤️❤️❤️ But I'm sure it was an easy sell." A third fan joked, "travis to taylor: what would happen if you just called stevie up."

The news of the collaboration follows Jason's successful foray into holiday music the past two years, having released his first festive album, A Philly Special Christmas, in 2022. Teaming up with fellow NFL players Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata, the album raised over $1 million for local charities.

The following year, he released A Philly Special Christmas Special, which included 10 holiday tracks and an original song by Jason himself. He enlisted Travis, 34, to contribute to the track "Fairytale of Philadelphia," which soared to No. 1 on the iTunes chart shortly after its debut.

As the brothers prepared to release the new album, some fans are hoping maybe Swift, 34, will make a surprise appearance on the track. "Listen, if you want me to believe that Taylor is not also sneaking into this studio and laying down a track or harmonies or something, I simply will not believe it," one hopeful fan declared.

As of right now, the crossover does not have a release date, so fans should keep an eye on the podcast's social media for more details.
