Coleen Rooney appears to be taking good care of her health with plenty of beauty treatments on Friday amid her worrying concerns for husband Wayne.

The retired footballer sparked fears for his well-being after he was pictured looking 'really bad' while sitting in the stands at Man United's football game last week.

While fans claim Wayne, 38, has been looking worse for wear, Coleen has been getting pampered at the laser hair removal clinic to make sure she looks her best.

The concerns came at no surprise to Coleen, also 38, as she recently 'got a bit of a shock' when she saw him recently, according to Heat.

Wayne moved down to Devon to take over as Plymouth manager over the summer but Coleen and their four children decided to stay home in Cheshire.

Now in a long-distance relationship, Coleen reportedly fears he has been struggling with living on his own and has been unable to cope without her around.

A source told the publication: 'Coleen got a bit of a shock when she saw Wayne recently. She’s worried he’s not taking enough care of himself now that he’s living on his own.

'It was always going to be a big adjustment for him when he gave up playing football professionally. He was at the peak of his fitness during that time – Coleen made sure he ate healthily and he was always running about and playing footie with the boys.

'Now, she feels he’s not putting himself first, and worries that he’s struggling to cope without her looking after him.'

The United and England legend was spotted in the stands at Old Trafford during his former club's 3-0 loss and looked distinctly unimpressed with their performance.

Wayne has been in good spirits in recent weeks after steering Plymouth Argyle to two wins from their last four Championship games, boosting their survival bid.

However, his condition just three years after retiring has left supporters worried.

A photo of him watching United while clad in a black coat was shared by Sky Sports on X and several users were quick to urge him to take care of himself.

Fans wrote: 'He looks really bad', 'Hang in there, Wayne',

'Rooney looks older than his age', 'He needs to take care of himself',

'He looks too old', 'Is he suffocating, he's all red?'

Wayne confessed in 2022 that he only had one suit that still fit him after being ribbed over his appearance by Jamie Carragher on Sky's Monday Night Football.

Jamie noticed Wayne was wearing the same suit, shirt and tie combination from his Premier League Hall of Fame induction a fortnight before the show.

He responded: 'Do you know what? There's a reason behind that.

'Obviously, over the last year, I've put a little bit of weight on. So it's actually the only suit what'll fit me at the minute - I've got to get the most out of it.'

Wayne has previously opened up on his fight to avoid piling on the pounds during his trophy-laden playing career, writing in his 2012 book My Decade In The Premier League: 'I'm like most blokes, I put on a few pounds after a holiday.

'Even if I don't train for a week, I put on two or three.'

Coleen recently opened up about long-distance with her husband Wayne after he moved to Devon to take over as Plymouth manager.

Speaking to the Mirror, Coleen revealed while Devon 'seems far away', it's much 'easier to get to than Washington DC' - after Wayne's post at DC United last summer.

'We see him a couple of times a week, which is good,' she said. 'He went to America, so this is a bonus because even though it seems like far away, it's easier to get to than Washington, DC.

'There's lots of FaceTime and he always phones when we're going out of the door in the morning.'

Coleen admitted she considered moving the family down to Devon with Wayne but ultimately decided against it due to the age of their four boys - who are all under 15.

She said her oldest Kai is set to start his GCSEs this year and that his football is going well, while her other sons are settled in school, so it felt unfair to move them.

Wayne took up the post of managing the Major League Soccer team, DC united last year, but it was revealed previously that Coleen had previously told friends she hates America and wouldn't be moving there.

A source close to Coleen told MailOnline at the time: 'She's made her views clear to Wayne. There's no way she will want to go to Washington. The last time, she absolutely hated it there.

'She doesn't want to live outside the North West of England, never mind live in Washington again. The family is more settled than it's ever been.'

They added: 'They have four kids who are all in school and all of Coleen's family live close to her.'

'There's no way that she'd want to give all of that up to go and live in a place she hates.'

Wayne took on the job at Plymouth just four months after being sacked by Birmingham City.

He has since been taking on a number of different duties such as a punditry role with the BBC for Euro 2024 and appearing on podcasts to delve into his past.
