Charlotte Chilton appeared on Loose Women on Tuesday and spoke about her pregnancy, admitting that she was ‘torn’ when it comes to whether she wants the baby’s father, Conor Maynard, to be in her life.

The Traitors UK contestant is currently expecting her first child, a baby girl who she plans to name Penelope, which she announced in April.

The TV star, 33, has previously revealed that her baby’s birth father is singer Conor Maynard, 31, and that he will not be raising the baby with her.

Appearing on Loose Women, the star was asked by Gloria Hunniford if she wanted Conor to be part of the pregnancy and her child’s life.

‘See, this is a really tricky question, I’m always torn with what’s best for her.

‘For me, and my mental health and the damage that he’s done to me, absolutely not. I wouldn’t want that.

‘But, I’m an adult, and I understand what I’ve entered into here and if that’s how it has to be then I have to suck it up and put her first.

‘I would like it for her at some point in her life, I don’t know if there’s much point at this stage of her life. But in the future maybe that might be nice for her.

‘But it’s got to be all Penelope’s decision really I think, not might.’

Speaking to Metro.co.uk in June she revealed that she met Conor in a London nightclub, Raffles, after being encouraged to meet him by her Traitors co-star winner Harry Clark – who is dating Conor’s younger sister Anna.

‘He insisted on having that party there because he wanted to meet me and he knew I was newly single,’ she recalled.

‘I very nearly didn’t go at all because I didn’t even know who Conor Maynard is. Harry was putting on the pressure.’

The star had previously struggled to have children and previously revealed she has had seven miscarriages, failed insemination, and failed IVF.

She has repeatedly called this pregnancy a ‘miracle’ but told Metro.co.uk that she considered ending the pregnancy because of her stress.

‘I didn’t leave the house. I felt I couldn’t go out to celebrate as I knew I couldn’t say who the dad was when people asked. I just watched box sets over and over again. I was melting into the darkness.

‘I’ve been bleeding and put on bed rest twice. I stepped up seeing my therapist as I was feeling so worthless. I felt I didn’t have a voice. It was like being back in the dark ages.

‘There were times I was so overwhelmed I considered an abortion. I was upset and I just couldn’t deal with that anymore.

‘Now I feel lighter, I feel enthusiastic about the future. The goal was for my daughter to be seen and I’ve done that.’

Charlotte revealed on Loose Women that she is set to welcome her baby on November 2nd and has been supported by her co-stars from The Traitors.

She revealed that Diane from the show has been a ‘massive help’ and joked that she planned to get a tiny black wig for her baby so she could emulate Claudia Winkleman in the show.
