Nicki Minaj’s disastrous tour has once again sparked controversy as Dublin concertgoers demand refunds after the ‘disgraceful’ event.

The rapper, 41, played for less than an hour after showing up 90 minutes late.

She was set to play Malahide Castle after 8 p.m. on Saturday night but did not make it on stage until 10 p.m. – a wait made all the more excruciating for fans by the pouring rain, which turned the outdoor venue into a muddy mess.

The tickets started at €90 for standard entry and went up from there, with some fans paying hundreds for premium seats.

The Starships rapper also offered no explanation for her late appearance.

Now, many fans have spoken out about the gig, demanding event organisers refund their tickets.

X user @Cathal_Haughey wrote: ‘I didn’t think Nicki Minaj would be the first thing I raised at a Council meeting 🤷‍♂️ Arriving late and playing 45 mins- and she has a history of this. Young fans deserve a partial refund.’

@seanlxgue agreed: ‘Done some digging, I was at the concert too! Her jet departed Vienna at 18:55 (Irish time) and landed in Dublin at 21:36 (Irish time) by the looks of things she was late purely out of her own choice! Doesn’t give a f**k about her fans!’

@gerardstokes42 posted: ‘I hope people at Nicki Minaj tonight at Dublin will be getting a refund

@NICKIMINAJ should be ashamed of her self coming on just before 10pm and hour and a half late sings twice and goes of to change with 15 min left before curfew no respect for fans.’

@KnottDebbie agreed: ‘Feel sorry for anyone who bought tickets for #nickiminaj in Dublin last night – thought I’d have FOMO but now I know I’ll never go see her after the clear lack of respect to her Irish fans with half a show after they stood soaked to the bone waiting on her #goodluckandgodbless’

But some fans defended Nicki, arguing that she had no choice but to delay because of the weather conditions.

@martihoconnor wrote on X: ‘Everyone giving out about @NICKIMINAJ being late for her Dublin show, yet would give out if she cancelled 🤣🤣 absolute ticks, it was heavy rain just before she was due to come on ? Would you rather her cancel it? still f***ing smashed it!! Until next time Nicki 👏🏼 #gagcitydublin’

@toywamoore wrote: ‘You Dublin h*es bout to piss me off under @NICKIMINAJ posts on ig. Complaining about waiting like you b***hes never been to a concert before! Stop announcing you wont go again-we good on your PSAs! No need to announce your departure!  Poof!!💨💨💨 BE GONE‼️’

So far, Nicki hasn’t acknowledged the outpouring of criticism from fans, despite posting footage from the concert to her Instagram account.

Nicki dropped out of her next performance, a festival in Romania, after the Dublin show, citing safety concerns.

She wrote on X: ‘Out of concern for the well-being of our team and myself, I have been advised by my security detail not to travel to Romania’s festival tonight due to safety concerns regarding protests in the area. I look forward to seeing you all at another time.

‘As a mom, I have to make sure I’m making sound decisions for me to make it home to my son and for my team to make it home to their families. To not heed the advice of security at this time is simply not what I think I should be doing. I love you and thank you for your understanding and support.

‘I am very excited to see my fans this Friday in London for another very special headlining show at Wireless Festival.’

The disastrous Dublin gig comes after the singer’s now infamous Manchester show was cancelled in May after she was detained in the Netherlands for Marijuana possession.
