Giovanni Pernice has reportedly split from his girlfriend Molly Brown.

The former Strictly Come Dancing professional, who has left the show following claims of inappropriate and controlling behaviour, is said to have split from the model for a second time.

The couple started dating in February before breaking breaking up just three weeks later and then reuniting, but now they have removed all traces of each other from social media.

It’s reported that the ongoing Strictly scandal ‘has taken its toll’, and they have been rowing.

A source told the Mirror: ‘Giovanni and Molly grew very close, very quickly, after they split up the first time and got back together.

‘Their relationship has been pretty full on. But they have rowed again recently and it all came to a head earlier this week, when they called it quits.

‘Molly has been very supportive of Giovanni, but he has been under a lot of stress lately and that has taken its toll.’

The insider added that while it’s ‘not impossible’ they will ‘give things another go once the dust has settled’, it’s not likely.

The BBC is currently conducting an investigation into the 33-year-old dancer’s teaching style on Strictly after his former partner Amanda Abbington made a string of damning allegations and said she was diagnosed with PTSD.

She unexpectedly quit Strictly mid-way through the series, citing ‘personal reasons’ for her exit at the time.

Pernice’s previous partners Laura Whitmore and Ranvir Singh are also said to have accused him of misconduct and allegedly met with Abbington to ‘compare notes.’

He has strongly denied all the allegations, and in a statement he said he ‘looks forward to clearing my name’.

Pernice has been on tour with his co-star Anton Du Beke, amid an outpouring of support from other Strictly dancers.

In a statement posted on Sunday June 16, he wrote: ‘To my fans and followers, Every week, there are totally untrue stories about me in the media. As you know, I have always rejected any suggestion of abusive or threatening behaviour. The latest accusations are simply false.’

He continued: ‘I am cooperating fully with the ongoing BBC investigation, which will determine the truth. As requested, I have stayed silent, but I am looking forward to the conclusion of the investigation and ultimately clearing my name and establishing the truth.’

Strictly has been rocked by the scandal, with Graziano Di Prima dropped from the show, while he has since released a statement saying he ‘deeply regrets’ his actions after allegations he ‘kicked and hit’ his partner Zara McDermott.

It was confirmed yesterday by a spokesperson that he did kick his former dance partner, while reports have emerged that a third pro dancer who used to be on the show has been named as a ‘person of interest’.
