Netflix’s hit reality series Love Is Blind is coming to British shores in new spin-off helmed by celebrity couple Emma Willis and Matt Willis.

The Netflix dating franchise, originally based in the US, has released six seasons since 2020 and proved a huge success across the globe with multiple international spin-offs, with the number of hours viewed in total surpassing 300,000,000 hours overall.

But the wait is finally over for UK folks as the acclaimed show is set to air its first season in August with Big Brother host Emma and husband of 16 years, Busted’s Matt , helping hopeful singletons find love.

The series, filmed across the UK, Sweden and Corfu, will see 30 contestants thrust onto the journey of a lifetime as they try to find their future spouse, sight unseen.

The singles have signed up for ‘a less-conventional approach to modern dating’ as they choose they get engaged without ever having looked at the person they have formed a connection with in the pods.

The synopsis continues: ‘Over several weeks, the newly engaged couples will move in together, plan their wedding and find out if their physical connection matches their strong emotional bond developed in the Pods.

‘When their wedding day arrives, will real-world realities and external factors push them apart, or will they marry the person they fell blindly in love with?’

All with the aim of asking the question, ‘do looks, age or race’ actually matter or is love truly blind?

Much like the other versions, viewers can expect plenty of drama, scheming and betrayal as the contestants are thrust into messy love triangles, confront belligerent family members and reckon with the enormity of life-long commitment based purely on personality.
