Eve is coming to PC (Sony Interactive Entertainment

A PC version of Stellar Blade has been outed through a job listing, while another hints at work on upcoming DLC.

Developer Shift Up has already said it’s considering a PC version and a sequel to Stellar Blade, following strong sales, but it seems work is now officially underway.

The stylish action game, which released back in April, exceeded expectations both critically and commercially, despite controversy around the appearance of its lead character.

While most PlayStation 5 exclusives are now expected to make their way over to PC eventually, Shift Up is actively hiring for developers to work on the platform.

In a job listing for a combat designer on PC development, on Shift Up’s website, the post lists ‘PC skills design and data work’ and ‘PC related system design and production progress’ under the responsibilities.

Considering how many times Shift Up has already mentioned a PC port for Stellar Blade, it’s hard to imagine that it relates to anything else. Shift Up’s previous game, Goddess Of Victory: Nikke, is also already available on PC.

Meanwhile, a second job listing titled ‘Battle Designer – Monster Creation’ suggests work is also underway on DLC or a sequel. Under responsibilities, the post lists ‘monster skills, AI design, and data work’, along with ‘monster-related system design’.

While it doesn’t specifically name Stellar Blade, Shift Up has already said DLC and a sequel is under consideration due to the game’s success – so it certainly looks like the studio is putting plans into motion on at least one of those.

Last month, Shift Up revealed a roadmap for Stellar Blade, which included a new photo mode in August, additional outfits after October, and a ‘large scale IP collaboration’ at the end of 2024.

During the same conference, Shift Up CFO Jaerwoo Ahn said he’s ‘currently looking at a PC version of Stellar Blade’ but that they could not comment further due to a ‘contractual relationship’ – presumably with Sony.

If the studio is only just hiring for these projects though, we might have to wait until next year before we see the PC port or any potential DLC, but that fits the usual time frame of recent Sony releases.
