Christine McGuinness has clarified her relationship status following her divorce from Paddy McGuinness and rumours she’s now dating a rapper.
Christine, 36, and Paddy, 50, announced their split in 2022 and reportedly settled their divorce this week while remaining friends and living together to co-parent their children Leo and Penelope, 10, and Felicity, seven.
The former Miss Liverpool recently sparked rumours with what looks like it could be a romantic trip to Ibiza with an unknown person who many believe to be rapper Roxxxan, 33.
However, Christine has poured cold water on the idea of a romance heating up after addressing her relationship status.
‘I’m very happily single,’ she told The Mirror. ‘That’s the right thing for me. I know that I deserve love and I know that one day I will find love again.’
She went on to discuss her divorce from the Phoenix Nights star after 11 years of marriage, saying she has a ‘new lease of life.’
‘Something quite magical happens when a woman turns 35. What can I do to make myself happy? As a mum, you’ve always got someone above you.
‘Everything I do is for them. I want to travel more. I want to go to Thailand. I’d love to go to America. I’d love to do a travel show.’
Christine and Paddy are reportedly nearing the end of finalising their divorce and looking to move into separate homes.
A source told The Sun: ‘They managed to settle the divorce out of court and have kept everything amicable.’
They continued: ‘They have separate bedrooms and a house in Cheshire big enough for them all, so there is no need to move yet. But they probably will sell it down the line and get their own places.’
The former couple, who wed in 2011 after meeting in 2007, have only had glowing things to say of each other since their split.Paddy shared previously: ‘There’s no toxicity in the house, nor arguments, as he revealed that they have still maintained ‘a really, really lovely family unit at home.’
Speaking on Vicky Pattison’s podcast The Secret To… podcast, Christine said: ‘We’re very open. He has said to me when he’s been going on a date.
‘We still live in the same house. But I think both of us right now, we’re very much in the same place, where we’re just, like, just don’t really know what to do or where to go.’
