Steamy TV series that has fans in a ‘chokehold’ just revealed best virginity losing scene

Amazon’s latest romantic period drama My Lady Jane has fans talking for all the right reasons, and it just showcased one of the best first-time scenes. 

My Lady Jane is the latest TV series to capture the attention of period drama fans who were delighted to find the latest Pride and Prejudice-Bridgerton-Reign-esque romantic series to sink their teeth into.

The eight-episode-long series focuses on Lady Jane Grey (played by Emily Bader), the real-life Queen who was executed after just nine days on the throne.

However, this re-imagined comedy fantasy series shows what life could have been like for Lady Jane if she hadn’t been beheaded and if she had in fact been married off to a man who turns into an animal every night (literally). 

The first episode sets up an enemies-to-lovers dynamic between Lady Jane and her new husband Lord Guildford Dudley (played by Edward Bluemel). After discovering he turns into a horse every night, things go from bad to worse for the newlyweds.

However, Guildford promises Jane a divorce if she can help cure his animalistic tendencies.

Over the course of five episodes, the sexual tension between the characters reaches a peak and – much to the delight of viewers – the pair finally get down and dirty.

The scene kicks off with Jane asking Guildford what would happen if they didn’t get a divorce like they planned. He answers by kissing her and immediately unlacing her corset.

‘Do you think I’ll like it?’ she asks. ‘I tried finding out what it’d be like, I tried looking in books but there was -‘

‘Are you intending to talk all the way through this?’ Guildford interrupts.

‘No…maybe,’ she replies.

Ever the academic, Jane then reveals she’s frustrated as she realises she doesn’t know what she’s doing in bed. 

‘Wait, I don’t know what to do. I really hate not knowing things,’ she tells her husband.

‘I can show you, if you want me to,’ he replies tenderly.

The sex scene may have taken place in a barn to the song of Wet Leg’s Wet Dream, but it was surprisingly moving and had fans in a total ‘chokehold’.

Fans loved the series and were particularly enamoured by the relationship between the lead characters.

Scoobidoobizoo commented on X: ‘My lady Jane got me in a chokehold.’ Womeninfiction added: ‘They are so silly. My lady jane is my new obsession.

‘My lady jane has altered my brain by bringing back undeniable chemistry,’ added Midoandparasol.

‘Or wet dream during their first time??? All the song choices were so unserious they deserve a reward for it,’ joked whatsabex10.

Jane quickly seemed to work things out as by the end of the series she was leading their bedroom antics.

Whatsabex10 took to X to joke:  ‘Jane going from “I don’t know what to do. I really hate not knowing things.” to “let me take the lead, you keep quiet” is the truest queen s**t of the show Get it, your Majesty #MyLadyJane.’

Many also couldn’t believe that the series wasn’t more popular and to social media to try and convince others to watch it.

Champagnegabiix added: ‘Why is no one talking about my lady jane because i am screaming and squealing and giggling and kicking my feet.’
