It’s been a few months since Cadbury released two new Dairy Milk bars as part of their new &More range.

The ‘sumptuous’ bars are ideal for fans of the chocolate and nuts combo, as there range includes a Nutty Praline Crisp flavour, with a creamy almond and hazelnut filling and a layer of crispy wafer, as well as a Caramel Nut Crunch with toffee, caramel and chopped hazelnuts inside.

Fans were quick to hail the new chocolate treats, (which are bigger than your average Dairy Milk), as ‘divine’, saying they combined all their favourite things.

However, not everyone has gotten on so well with the bars, as the product name has caused a ‘fiasco’ for some shoppers.

Many have admitted to making a rather awkward mistake when purchasing the chocolate, as they mistakenly thought the packet said ‘S’mores’ instead of ‘&More’.

Traditionally s’mores are a dessert made over a campfire with toasted marshmallow and chocolate sandwiched between biscuits, so they’d have been expecting a VERY different filling.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), @realbrendanmb said: ‘We finally broke the s’mores Dairy Milk bar we got in the UK. Meghan said “it’s good but it tastes nothing like s’mores” then I looked at it again. VERY tricky @CadburyUK.’

The official Cadbury UK account was quick to reply, explaining what was actually inside the bar, and asking if Brendan still enjoyed it regardless. Thankfully, he thought it was ‘delicious’.

But he’s not the only one to have made this error.

Over on TikTok a number of users reviewed the new bar, and many of them referred to it as ‘Dairy Milk S’mores’ in their video.

@chloedenny_ said: ‘I got my hands on the new Cadbury S’mores chocolate.’ Viewers pointed out the blunder in the comments, agreeing they also thought the packet looked like it said s’mores.

@ourstoryhome and @lifebehindmylens did the same, with the latter editing her video to explain: ‘Thought it was s’mores, realised during editing it’s &More.’

Similarly, @chetstiktok posted: ‘At first glance I thought it was s’mores so I was excited, then I realised and now I’m just disappointed. I think the marketing department knew what they were doing!’

@neel8m agreed adding: ‘Looks like s’more, clever marketing.’

So many misread the name that it prompted an outpour of people asking Cadbury to release an actual S’mores chocolate bar in the UK, as clearly there’s demand for it.

@courtneyykenna wrote: ‘Can you bring out a s’more one please after the fiasco with the branding, it’s a must. But please make it vegetarian.’

@manjitnighah shared: ‘I saw this and got so excited as my brain read it as “s’mores”. I have to say, you guys missed a trick here, a s’mores chocolate bar with ooey gooey marshmallow and a biscuit base would be a dream come true!!’

This comes after the chocolate giant recently announced an exciting new partnership for 2025.

Mondelēz International, which owns Cadbury, as well as Milka, shared the exciting news that they are joining forces with Lotus Bakeries to develop ‘exciting new chocolate products’ in Europe.

They claim the partnership will allow both companies potential opportunities to expand into additional markets.

While the new products are still in the early development stages, the first one is expected to launch in early 2025 in the UK, combining Cadbury chocolate with the unique, caramelised, crunchy Biscoff.

Milka and Biscoff items are also going to be available in Europe around the same time.

A spokesperson for Mondelēz International told Metro.co.uk: ‘Mondelēz International and Lotus Bakeries are excited to start working together to develop and market co-branded chocolate products in Europe, with potential options to expand into additional markets.

‘While specific formats are still in the early stages of development, we’re aiming to bring new innovations to the chocolate category that will surprise and delight consumers.

‘We expect the first co-branded Cadbury and Biscoff products to launch in the UK in early 2025, so do keep your eyes peeled for more news closer to the time!’

And Cadbury also recently sent fans wild when they re-launched a beloved discontinued chocolate bar from the 90s.

Top Deck, which features classic Dairy Milk chocolate topped with a layer of white chocolate, is back in supermarkets right now.
