We’ve all been talking about the ‘unsexy essentials’ we need that aren’t all that glamorous, but really help us tick along well. Things like your favourite extra-strength deodorant or anti-chafe stick – you know the type.

While I love it for my lips (it keeps them so satisfyingly hydrated), I’ve found its unmatched for dry skin patches like eczema and dermatitis, too. Dry elbows? Check. Flaky eyelids? Double check. Painful, peeling cuticles? Check again.
When I have a cold and spend the whole week blowing my nose, I always end up with a sore, peeling nose for days and it drives me nuts. But now, all I have to do is apply some of the E45 balm to my nose and literally overnight my skin is transformed. Like completely healed, smooth and repaired.
But this clever balm shocked me again when I went away on holiday. I’m an insect magnet and, despite bug sprays, end up getting eaten alive when I go away. I’m also very reactive to them so end up with itchy, painful and swollen bites all over the shop. Not fun.
