Yotam Ottolenghi is coming to Ibiza on Saturday 10 August to host a five-course sharing menu at the Atzaró Agroturismo hotel

If you’re planning to be in Ibiza in August – or you can find a way to get there – this is an event not to be missed.

Yotam Ottolenghi, the culinary alchemist who can weave magic with nothing more than an aubergine and a spice drawer, is coming to the White Island to host a very special dining experience.

The event will celebrate the Atzaró Agroturismo hotel’s 20th birthday

Held at the beautiful Atzaró Agroturismo hotel, a 300-year-old finca set in 13-hectare grounds in the north of the island, the evening with Ottolenghi will be a five-course menu created by the chef and his team, using produce freshly hand-picked from the lush gardens of the hotel.

The five-course dinner will be held on sharing family-style tables in the hotel’s vast vegetable garden, along with locally sourced wines and welcome drinks.

Live music including a Flamenco show will provide the entertaiment backdrop – and at the end of the night, guests will leave with a signed copy of Ottolenghi’s Flavour cook book.

The match with Ottolenghi is a marriage made in heaven: Atzaró Agroturismo hotel’s dedication to homegrown produce is one that they have been investing in for decades. Indeed, Atzaró is rooted in farming, with generations of the same family working the land.

The vegetable gardens, lined with olive and cypress trees, are brimming with all-organic fruit, vegetables and herbs, watered using a natural well and powered by the energy created by 200 solar panels. Single use plastics are off-limits, and food waste is composted to be reused as fertiliser.

This event, set to be one of the most spectacular culinary events of the summer, celebrates 20 years of Atzaró Agriturismo Hotel, who say of Ottolenghi: ‘His commitment to the championing of vegetables, as well as ingredients once seen as exotic has led to what some call “the Ottolenghi effect”, and is shorthand for the creation of a meal which is full of colour, flavour, bounty, and sunshine.

‘Yotam’s wealth of experience and culture translates through to his delicious food and we are privileged to be able to welcome him to Atzaró with this very special dinner experience, in the Atzaró Vegetable Garden.’
