Former president Donald Trump and Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz will attend college football games in Alabama and Michigan, respectively, on Saturday which a large number of voters are expected to tune in.

Trump is headed to Tuscaloosa, Alabama where he will watch the Alabama Crimson Tide take on the Georgia Bulldogs. Though Alabama is a predominately red state, Georgia fans who hail from the swing state are likely the targeted demographic.

Meanwhile, Walz will attend the Michigan Wolverines v. Minnesota Golden Gophers game in Ann Arbor, Michigan in the hopes of wooing swing state voters in Michigan.

In another swing state, North Carolina, Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson is recovering from receiving second-degree burns at a truck show on Friday evening.

Robinson, who has been subject to criticism for supposedly leaving inappropriate comments on a pornography website, was hospitalized after an incident occurred at the event in Mount Airy, NC.

A spokesperson for Robinson told NewsNation that he was “in good spirits” and planned to return to his campaign trail on Saturday.

ICYMI: Retired military general described as ‘the finest warrior’ backs Harris for president

Stanley McChrystal, a retired Army general once dubbed “the finest warrior” in the U.S. military, has endorsed Kamala Harris for president.

McChrystal, who oversaw the Afghanistan war during the Obama administration, wrote in a New York Times op-ed on Thursday that the decision was “starkly simple.”

“Ms. Harris has the strength, the temperament and, importantly, the values to serve as commander in chief,” the retired general wrote. “When she sits down with world leaders like President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine, representing the United States on the global stage, I have no doubt that she is working in our national interest, not her own.”
