Donald Trump has told Christians that they “won’t have to” vote again after this election, saying “we’ll have it fixed so good.”

Trump was speaking on Friday night at The Believers’ Summit 2024 at a Turning Point Action event in West Palm Beach, Florida.

“You won’t have to do it anymore, four more years, you know what? It’ll be fixed, it’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote anymore,” Trump said. “You’ve got to get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not going to have to vote.”

He also said that he “accepted” an “apology” from the FBI after the bureau confirmed he had been shot by a bullet during an assassination attempt earlier this month.

Earlier on Friday, the FBI confirmed Trump had been clipped in the ear by a gunman’s bullet 13 days ago at a Pennsylvania rally.

“What struck former President Trump in the ear was a bullet, whether whole or fragmented into smaller pieces, fired from the deceased subject’s rifle,” the bureau said in a statement.

‘Trump is old and quite weird’: Harris campaign press releases give trolling a try

Kamala Harris’ campaign team seems to be enjoying its first full week of official promotion for her presidential candidacy, judging by the somewhat colloquial tone of some of its recent press releases.

Statements put out by the newly rebranded Harris for President campaign have attacked both Donald Trump and his running mate JD Vance while tapping into internet-speak and popular culture – something the team has quickly become known for.

One release in particular, sent out on Thursday, caught the attention of social media users after describing Donald Trump as, among other things, “old and quite weird.”

“Statement on a 78-Year-Old Criminal’s Fox News Appearance,” the statement was titled. “After watching Fox News this morning we only have one question, is Donald Trump ok?”

Trump was hit by a bullet in the ear during rally shooting, FBI confirms

Former president Donald Trump was clipped in the ear by a gunman’s bullet 13 days ago at a Pennsylvania rally — not a piece of shrapnel or debris kicked up by a round, the FBI announced Friday afternoon.

“What struck former President Trump in the ear was a bullet, whether whole or fragmented into smaller pieces, fired from the deceased subject’s rifle,” the bureau said in a statement.

Trump quickly replied in a post on his Twitter clone, Truth Social, writing, “I assume that’s the best apology that we’ll get from Director Wray, but it is fully accepted!”

Netanyahu gifts Donald Trump framed photo of child hostage in Gaza

Benjamin Netanyahu gifted Donald Trump a photo of a child hostage in Gaza as the pair met at the presidential candidate’s Mar-a-Lago residence - the first time they’ve been together since Trump left the White House.

“We’ll get that taken care of”, Trump said of the photo, which had reportedly been requested by the child’s grandfather to be given to him.

The Israeli prime minister also handed Trump a ‘total victory’ cap, presumably referencing the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.

Fighting antisemitism in colleges and working on peace in the Middle East are two big talking points in Trump’s manifesto, should he win the US election.

Trump says he accepts FBI ‘apology’ over assassin’s bullet claims and slams Harris at Florida speech

During a speech on Friday in Florida, Donald Trump addressed the ongoing mini-scandal over whether he was struck with a bullet to the ear at a recent Pennsylvania rally.

The FBI on Friday confirmed an assassin shot Trump in the ear earlier this month after the agency’s director suggested earlier this week the wound might’ve come from shrapnel.

“We accept their apology,” Trump said, to jeers from the crowd at the Turning Point Believers Summit in West Palm Beach, Florida.

“It just never ends with these people,” Trump said elsewhere in the speech. “They raid Mar-a-Lago. They do things, so bad, so bad.

Trump addresses Israel attack during Bitcoin conference remarks

Trump addressed the recent attack in Israel at the outset of his remarks. A rocket strike on a soccer field killed at least 11 children and teenagers in the Golan Heights on Saturday, Israeli authorities said.

“Israel was just attacked, very severely attacked,” Trump said on Saturday afternoon.

Trump appeared to put the blame on the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, which has denied any role in the attack.

“They have to respect, they cannot do this,” Trump said. “What they did just now with that attack is terrible ... And so to all, God bless everybody. This is so serious, they have to respect our country. This would never have happened with us, and we just cannot let it continue. So we just wish them all a lot of luck.”

Trump opens Bitcoin remarks with Secret Service joke

Trump opened his remarks at The Bitcoin Conference in Nashville, Tennessee with a joke about the Secret Service taking some extra time before allowing him to go on stage.

“So Secret Service just told me, ‘sir, would like a little more time’. I said, ‘you take all the time you want. You can take two hours, three hours, to hell with the people that have been waiting out here’,” he said.

Donald Trump spotted without ear bandage for first time since shooting

Donald Trump has been seen in public without a bandage on his right ear for the first time following the assassination attempt against him in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13.

The former president was seen bandage-free for his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday. The FBI confirmed on Friday that Trump was hit by a bullet in the ear during the shooting.

Trump was first seen in public after the assassination attempt at the Republican National Convention, where he donned a large white, square ear bandage. Supporters quickly began wearing similar bandages to show their support for the former president.

Trump says he will still hold outdoor rallies after shooting despite Secret Service warnings

Former President Donald Trump said in a post on Truth Social on Saturday morning that he’ll continue holding outdoor rallies even after the attempt on his life on July 13 during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

“I WILL CONTINUE TO DO OUTDOOR RALLIES, AND SECRET SERVICE HAS AGREED TO SUBSTANTIALLY STEP UP THEIR OPERATION,” the former president wrote. “THEY ARE VERY CAPABLE OF DOING SO. NO ONE CAN EVER BE ALLOWED TO STOP OR IMPEDE FREE SPEECH OR GATHERING!!!”

This week, Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle stepped down after members of Congress called for her resignation. She announced her decision on Tuesday after admitting that the shooting had been “the most significant operational failure” for the Secret Service in “decades.”

Republican congresswoman Nancy Mace defends Vance’s ‘childless cat ladies’ comment

Republican congresswoman Nancy Mace has defended past comments made by JD Vance about Kamala Harris.

In 2021, Donald Trump’s now-appointed running mate told said the US was run by “a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too.”

When asked by Piers Morgan if Mr Trump and Mr Vance have to be more careful about the language they’re using towards Ms Harris now she is at the top of the party ticket, Ms Mace replied: “I just watched Kamala Harris give a speech where she called every single Republican an extremist and was spouting off lies and conspiracy theories about our party.”

‘Donald Trump wants to take America backward’: Harris campaign slams former president

James Singer, a spokesperson for the Harris campaign, said in a statement on Saturday that “When Vice President Harris says this election is about freedom she means it.”

“Our democracy is under assault by criminal Donald Trump: After the last election Trump lost, he sent a mob to overturn the results,” he added.

“This campaign, he has promised violence if he loses, the end of our elections if he wins, and the termination of the Constitution to empower him to be a dictator to enact his dangerous Project 2025 agenda on America,” Singer said. “Donald Trump wants to take America backward, to a politics of hate, chaos, and fear – this November America will unite around Vice President Kamala Harris to stop him.”
