The countdown to Strictly Come Dancing 2024 is officially underway, with three more contestants having been announced today.

Taking to the ballroom for the BBC competition this series, and hoping to follow in the footsteps of reigning champions Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola, are comedian Chris McCausland, who will be making history as the first blind contestant on the show, and JLS star JB Gill.

They’ll be joined by Olympian Tom Dean, Go Compare opera singer Wynne Evans, 80s singer and actress Toyah Willcox, and finally, TV star Dr Punam Krishan.

Rumours are still swirling over who else could be joining the line-up, including Hannah Waddingham and Nick Knowles, but here’s what we know about one of the latest celebrities to be confirmed.
