Justin Timberlake and Alanis Morissette will headline Lytham Festival 2025, organisers of the Lancashire event have confirmed.

The announcement of the popstars marks a step up in ambition for the annual event at Lytham St Annes, which has been held since 2009.

Canadian Morissette will perform on the 30th anniversary of her iconic record Jagged Little Pill, while Timberlake will perform on the back of his Forget Tomorrow World tour, which wraps next June.

Morissette will headline the Friday night (July 4), with Timberlake performing the following evening before Simple Minds and Texas co-headline the Sunday, July 6.

Further acts will be announced in the weeks to come, Lytham Festival co-founder Peter Taylor said.

"Everyone we are announcing is an absolute music icon and we can't wait to welcome them to Lytham.

"Alanis Morissette is quite simply a cultural phenomenon and an artist with incredible integrity and acclaim who is celebrated globally.

"To then have the huge superstar that is Justin Timberlake headlining the following night is a booking we are very excited about, and one we are confident will be a huge hit.

“Then we have a brilliant double headlining set with two amazing Scottish artists, in the form of Simple Minds and Texas, to close the festival. These are two bands that I know will be very popular with our Lytham audience.’’

The 2024 edition of the festival was headlined by Courteeners, Madness and James with Shania Twain and Hozier also on the bill.

Tickets have now gone on sale on booking website Ticketmaster.

Timberlake will be hoping to get his career back on track with the conclusion of his world tour and this festival after pleading guilty to impaired driving in New York.
