Wheel of Fortune fans were left gutted for contestant Rasheda Tobias from Kernersville, North Carolina when she missed solving a puzzle by just one letter.

While participating in the BetMGM Big Winners Tournament episode on Tuesday, October 1, Rasheda — who was competing against Derrick Kyci Balfour from Frederick, Maryland, and Teresa Ronquillo from Los Angeles, California — struggled with a puzzle in the "Show Biz" category.

Rasheda decided to take a stab at solving the "Show Biz" puzzle after putting a few letters on the board, but unfortunately missed it by one letter when she answered, "Michael P. Jordan Stars in Creed." The answer was actually "Michael B. Jordan Stars in Creed," which contestant Teresa then managed to answer correctly.

Fans took to social media after the gut-wrenching mistake, with one joking, "Vanna's face when that lady said Michael P. Jordan 😂😂😂😄😄😄 talk about blowing it! #wheeloffortune #wof."

"I know this lady on Wheel Of Fortune didn't just say 'Michael P. Jordan Stars In Creed' I am devastated for her," another posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Many expressed sympathy for the flub, though fans also couldn't help laughing at the silly mistake. "Lady who in the hell is Michael P. Jordan?!🤦🏾‍♂️😩😂," one person posted.

In addition to Creed, American actor Michael B. Jordan, 37, is also known for starring in films like Black Panther and its sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Fruitvale Station, and the show The Wire.

Derrick ended up winning the game with $13,200 in cash and a prize trip to Las Vegas. He did not manage to snag the $100K Bonus Round win after failing to correctly answer "cashew milk." However, he will return on Friday.

The error comes as new host Ryan Seacrest has been making an impression on viewers, following beloved host Pat Sajak's retirement after 41 years. Despite some criticism about Seacrest as host — as well as about the new set — Wheel of Fortune did bring in 9.63 million viewers for his debut on September 9.

His first week averaged 8.31 million viewers, which signifies a 21 percent increase in viewership versus the first week of season 41, per The Hollywood Reporter.
